Complex searches will be charged at £7.00 per hour at the researcher's discretion. Registrar's fees and postage are charged at cost. Please submit each enquiry on a separate sheet, remembering to put your membership number and address on each sheet.

Photocopies cost 15 pence each page (remember that some ancestor charts have more than one page so specify the surname you want). Please do not ask for more than 20 ancestor Charts at a time.

This includes searching the IGI Family Search CDs, the 1881 Census, the Burial Index for pre-1855 burials in the North East of Scotland, other CDs such as Soldiers Died in the Great War.Printouts cost 15 pence each page

This includes searching the IGI for any specified county in the UK or even Worldwide, the IGI for the whole of Scotland indexed by surname, the OPRs by county, the 1881 Census per county, the 1891 Census Index per county in Scotland.Printouts cost 40 pence each
We hold the English Indexes for Birth, Marriages & Deaths for 1837-1997. We will search these for a particular year plus 2 years on either side for £5.00 i.e we will search approximately 20 fiche.

Search an unindexed Census £3.00 Search an OPR film with a frame number which is easily found £1.00 Search an OPR film with a frame number which is hard to find £3.00 Search the St Nicholas MIs film, including searching the index £2.00 Search the Banffshire Journals films where a date is given £2.00 Printouts from film cost 40 pence each.

We will search various books, maps, Banffshire 1851 Census index, Aberdeenshire 1841 and 1851 Census Indexes where indexed, books of photographs, War Memorials index, among many items available in the Society Library.Photocopies from books, printed indexes, maps cost 15 pence per page.

Search the Confirmation Books (wills) in the Law Library (indexed from 1876 to 1959) and hand copy one entry. £5.00

Aberdeen Central Library hold the local newspapers on film (Aberdeen Journal from 1747).
Search the newspaper where a date for an event is given £5.00 Printouts cost 15 pence per printout page.
We will transcribe a birth, marriage or death from Civil Registration records of Aberdeen (1855 to present day), Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire (1855 to 1967) provided we are given the year, entry number and parish for the event.
Cost of each transcribed record £2.00
Research using a combination of different sources of material will be charged at £7.00 per hour.
Cost of printouts is the same as those quoted under BASIC RESEARCH
